Choreographed by Neel Verdoorn, the International Dance Theater will come to town to tango. The troupe will present Mannen van de Tango at the Jakarta Play House (GKJ) on June 7. Tango, the dance of the people, is born from the heart and for Verdoorn, the challenge is to work with all the stylistic qualities that make the tango so unique. The upcoming performance promises to explore the world of tango ' inspired by the music of the legendary pianist, composer, arranger and orchestra director Osvaldo Pugliese. Visit

Theater
Dominated by body movements, Warm is a circus theater that is not just about pure acrobatics on stage, but also of ultra-bright lights and high-powered lamps. On June 14-15, France-based Rictus will be on the Salihara Theater stage in South Jakarta, presenting Ronan Cheneu as the writer, David Bobee as the director, Alexandre Fray and Frederic Arsenault for the acrobatics performance. Indonesian actress, Ine Febriyanti, will join the show. The elastic movements of performers on stage, illuminated by high-temperature lighting, will certainly cause perspiration. Pouring sweat is definitely an enemy of any acrobatic feats and Warm will show how this enemy can become part of such a performance. For details on Warm, staged as part of Salihara's theater festival Helateater, is available at salihara.org.
