W

e were just shocked by the news of the terrorist act in Poso. A suicide bomber blew himself up in front of the Poso Police office in Central Sulawesi.

Terrorist acts have gained wide public attention. This time, it coincided with a public debate on the government's plan to reduce the fuel subsidy, or in other words the plan to increase fuel prices.

Therefore, many people think that the latest bomb blast in Poso is part of an effort to turn the public attention away from the fuel price hike. It is understandable, the way people think about the event.

Terrorism is a serious problem, which attracts public attention. Whether it is intentional or not, the arrest of many terrorists frequently follows contentious issues that have become a focus of public attention.

If it was intentional, it has always been successful because the media has certainly given priority to their reports about terrorism, while other events, including the fuel price increase plan has received less media attention.

So, is there any relation between terrorist acts and the fuel price hike plan? Who knows?
