I

've been a faithful reader of The Jakarta Post for the past five years and I've noticed that the tenets of your Pancasila have been watered down.

Religious violence has 'snaked' between fundamentalists. Intolerance has become a staple word.

Aceh has implemented sharia, which signals a goodbye to democracy.

When I read the report 'Cunningly eluding justice' ' about wealthy inmates leaving their prison cells for luxury VIP rooms in hospitals ' I flipped!

It seems to me that Indonesians can 'out-graft' other nations: it's known as one-upmanship.

All I can say is: shame on those offering bribes and shame on those accepting them. And a big hug for the whistleblowers!

Attitude is everything ' go after what is right.
