In celebration of the centenary of Igor Stravinsky's Le Sacre du printemps (The Rite of Spring) at Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris, the Institut Français Indonesia will present a tribute to the performance in three cities, starting in Jakarta on June 19, followed by Surabaya on June 21 and Yogyakarta on June 23. For his version of Le Sacre du printemps, French iconic choreographer Jean-Claude Gallotta chose to work on the version of the work recorded by Igor Stravinsky himself, as he considers it one of the best: raw, unornamented, tough and directed without affection.

In Jakarta it will be staged at Graha Bhakti Budaya in Taman Ismail Marzuki, Central Jakarta. For more information, visit institutfrancais-indonesia.com.
