IANYAR: Vocalist with the band Samsons, Bambang Reguna Bukit, or Bams, celebrated his 30th birthday by participating in a marathon in Bali.

'I'm taking part in the marathon to celebrate my birthday while having a vacation,' he said as quoted by tempo.co.

He said he ran in the full marathon category, a total of 42.1 kilometers that he completed in five hours.

'This was my third marathon and there should be an improvement,' said Bams, who previously took part in 10k and 21k marathon events in Singapore.

He said he'd undertaken no special preparation to participate in the marathon.

'I've been running since I was in high school, so I'm used to it,' he said.
