House of Representatives legislator has called on the government to end all uncertainties regarding subsidized-fuel prices.

Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) lawmaker Hendrawan Supratikno said the longer the government delayed the announcement, the more severe would be the impact on inflation.

"The government's procrastination has caused uncertainties for citizensand has driven up inflation," Hendrawan said as quoted by Kontan.co.id.

The plan to raise subsidized-fuel prices was approved after the government and the House of Representatives agreed to pass the 2013 revised state budget (APBN-P) bill into law on Monday.

However, the government is yet to make any public announcement on the new prices.(dic)
