ctor Rio Dewanto has been cast as a social activist in a play ' written and directed by Ratna Sarumpaet ' which criticizes corruption and human rights violations in Indonesia.
Rio's girlfriend, who is also Ratna's daughter, actress Atiqah Hasiholan will also star in the play slated for July 3 to 6 at Graha Bhakti Budaya at Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM).
'The story focuses contemporary issues; including corruption and human rights violations. My character is as a social activist fighting for justice in our country,
'A lot of young people are apathetic to current events and the political world, I hope this play can open people's eyes,' he said as quoted by kapanlagi.com.
