he police finally managed to clear the Cipularang toll road after dispersing around 200 protesters who had blocked the road since the morning.
'Both lanes were reopened at 11:18 p.m. The protesters were dispersed but the road is still congested near the 44-kilometer point in West Karawang,' an official with toll road operator PT Jasa Marga, Dilla,
said as quoted by tribunnews.com on Thursday.
According to Dilla, the police used water cannon to break up the angry protesters, who were staging a protest over a land dispute in Karawang.(hrl/dic)
