he National Intelligence Agency (BIN) claimed that it had traced the whereabout of terrorist leader Santoso based on telephone signals that he transmitted from a recently uploaded YouTube video.
'We are intercepting it [the online video] ['¦] we already know the sources and where the video was uploaded. We will not stay idle,' BIN chief Lt. Gen. Marciano Norman said at the State Palace on Thursday.
The video, titled Risalah Kepada Ummat Islam di Kota Poso (A Message to the Muslim Community in Poso), was uploaded by an account under the name Al-Himmah on Sunday.
In the six-minute video, a man believed to be Santoso called on his followers to keep fighting the National Police's counterterrorism squad, Densus 88, adding that its personnel had slain, assaulted and jailed dozens of jihadists.
'I hope viewers respond to the video with maturity. We should not follow such a call; it is a misleading message that could jeopardize the nation,' Marciano said.
