em>Your comments on the warning made by the Jakarta Police to activists from all organizations to not carry out raids on nightclubs during Ramadhan as they would crack down on businesses that violated regulations:

Nightlife helps the tourism industry flourish and the livelihood of many depend on it.

Indonesia without its nightlife would be like Dutch rijsttafel without sambal.

Likewise, nightlife without alcohol would not be popular among foreign tourist, many of whom
are prospective investors in the country.

Police raids (when necessary) should be done quietly so as to not scare off tourists.

Indonesia is a Muslim-majority country. The business community should be aware of and be sensitive to the holy month of Ramadhan.

Closing or reducing nightlife businesses should be a part of building tolerance, harmony and understanding during the holy month.

Peace at Ramadhan should not be hijacked by frenetic raids.

There should be no raids, but nightlife establishments should limit their activities during Ramadhan.

The police should conduct raids on organizations that threaten to raid nightlife establishments.

Why are raids carried out during Ramadhan?

Nightlife activities do not disturb the piety of mature religious followers. But on the other hand, law enforcement must be taken seriously by the police.

Hello Mr. policeman, don'€™t just talk. We often see the police act too late or just standing there during
anarchistic raids by members of radical groups.

Please sir, don'€™t just talk but act on your words.
