Heavy metal legends Metallica are set to return to Indonesian soil for the first time in 20 years. The show, part of the band'€™s Black Album world tour, will take place in Jakarta'€™s Gelora Bung Karno Stadium onAugust 25, 2013 with an expected attendance of 60,000.

Ticket prices are quite high and some fans have their own way of getting them, including selling personal, so they can purchase the ticket and see the concert.

A couple weeks ago, an account on Twitter and a hashtag, Demi Metallica (For Metallica), emerged.

A Metallica fan, Adityo Pratomo, created the account to help him connect with other fans trying to make money to buy the tickets.

'€œI was on the plane to Jakarta when I had this idea; what if I build a melting pot where people can exchange information about stuff they'€™re selling. I was thinking to build a website, but then it would be too much. Twitter is the fastest way, so I set up the account and the word spread,'€ explains Adityo.

It all started with a few people tweeting items they wanted to sell and Adit retweeting them. Through this simple action, contributions from people started to come.

Two accounts that actively support this movement is Wendi Putranto and Arian13, both of whom are widely known for their contributions to the local metal scene.

'€œIt'€™s cool and quite fun, isn'€™t it?'€ says Arian13, '€œsomehow, it pushes people to make an extra effort to see the band they love. It'€™s way better than whining all the time about the expensive tickets.'€

'€œPeople in this generation tend to use their brains instead of their physical powers. This kind of movement was not there back in 1993,'€ says Wendi, remembering Metallica'€™s first visit in 1993.

In April 10-11, 1993, Metallica played two gigs in Jakarta'€™s Lebak Bulus Stadium. Both ended up in riots.

Wendi was there and found himself trapped inside the chaos.

'€œI was selling my dad'€™s trousers to buy the tickets,'€ he recalls. So, head to Twitter and seek these: #demimetallica or @demimetallica. Perhaps, you can also find a good bargain.

'€œMy intention since the beginning has always been to help people who want to get extra money in order to see the band they love. I don'€™t take any profit from it,'€ says Adityo.
