KPK name Mario, Djodi suspects in graft case

he Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has confirmed that Mario C Bernardo, a lawyer at the office of Hotma Sitompul and Associates, and Supreme Court staff member Djodi Supratman have been named as suspects in agraft case.
KPK investigators had found adequate evidence of alleged corruption by Marioand Djodi, said KPK vice chairman Bambang Widjojanto, on Friday, as reported by kompas.com.
In line with existing regulations the KPK has to confirm whether someone is a suspect or not within 24 hours after arresting them. The KPK arrested Mario, in connection with a case he handled at the Supreme
Court, at Hotma Sitompul's office onThursday.
Previously the same day the KPK detained Djodi. Mario is suspected of having bribed Djodi to win a case at the Supreme Court in which both of themwere mediators. The KPK is still pursuing other people believed to be involved in the case. (apt)
