he Law and Human Rights Ministry has decided to move 118 suspected Tanjung Gusta riot provocateurs to various prisons in North Sumatra and Nusakambangan, Central Java, says an official.
Bambang Krisbanu, of the ministry's directorate-general for correctional facilities, said as many as 100 inmates would be transferred to a number of prisons in North Sumatra while the other 18, including 4 terrorist inmates, would be transferred to Nusakambangan Prison in Central Java.
'The transfer is necessary to prevent riots in the future. We have seen a strong indication that these inmates incited the riot back then,' he said on Wednesday. He said his office was still looking for more provocateurs that remain at large.(hrl/dic)
