ational Police chief Gen. Timur Pradopo and IndonesiaMilitary (TNI) Commander Adm. Agus Suhartono monitored security for theIdul Fitri annual exodus at Merak Port in Cilegon, Banten onSaturday.
Timur ordered the police to work to the best of their capabilities during the Idul Fitri holiday season, so travelers could feel secure and comfortable. He also ordered field officers to remain on high alert as for potential security disruptions.
'Police personnel and TNI soldiers should work hand in hand to ensure security,' he said.
Adm. Agus Suhartono said that the TNI would follow the police's requests.
'We will do our utmost to assist the police in safeguarding the holiday season, 'he said.
