he General Election Organizers Ethics Council (DKPP)issued an official warning letter for the chairman of the Election SupervisoryCommittee (Bawaslu), Muhammad, and three of his colleagues ' Nasrullah, EndangWihdatiningtyas and Nelson Simanjuntak, after they were found guilty of ethicsviolations.
The council ruled that the four Bawaslu members had wrongly annulled the candidacy of a legislative candidate from the National Mandate Party (PAN), Selviana Sofyan Husein, during the verification process.
'We have thoroughly examined all evidence, as well as carefully listened to a number of witnesses. They have been proven to have violated the election code of conduct,' DKPP chairman Jimly Ashiddiqie said on Wednesday as quoted by tribunnews.com.
