wenty five out of the total 29 Regional Election Commissions (KPUD) in regencies/cities across Papua are currently dissolved since the commissions are still recruiting officers for the 2014 election.
Such a situation has hampered the election process as the dissolved KPUDs have yet to form committees to list eligible voters from their respective regions. 'It is most likely that the election process will not be carried out on time following the dissolution of the 25 KPUDs,' said Papua KPUD Adam Arisoy on Wednesday. The recruitment of the new KPUD officers is expected to be completed by September.
Papua KPUD will temporary take over some processes, including inputting data of eligible voters in regencies/cities of the dissolved KPUDs, Adam said.
