our comments on the red handed arrest of the head of the upstream oil and gas regulatory special task force (SKKMigas), Rudi Rubiandini, who was known as Mr Clean, for allegedly accepting bribes:

The KPK eventually arrested the head of the upstream oil and gas regulatory special task force, Rudi Rubiandini when the high technology of the upstream oil and gas engineering finally became easily available to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

With the international world available; there is practically nothing impossible for the KPK to handle. Bravo.

'€œMr Clean'€ has lost its meaning in Indonesia. That recipients of Bintang Mahaputra medals (ministers serving two years in the SBY administration) are considered national heroes or heroines is a clear example of this.

Just imagine, if not arrested, Rudi, a professor, might have received the next medal. How pathetic.

Rudi'€™s arrest will send negative signals to foreign investors because corruption had entered the heart of the upstream industry. On the contrary, this will send a positive signal that finally something is being done to combat corruption!

It happens because the whole country is poorly managed and run by professional thieves.

It is well known that when one wants to apply for a post in this country one is likely (not all but in most cases) to have to be ready with a certain amount of cash to improve their chances of getting that post.

Logically once an individual is already in the post, the individual is then tempted to try to '€œbalance'€ or in biz terms, to get the return of investment. Considering he was in such a strategic post and has a good income: Hundreds of millions of rupiah per month. Why is he involved in corruption and/or bribery? Why? Why? Why?

Consider that millions of people in our country are still jobless.
