The prisoners included two terrorist convicts arrested by the police's Densus 88 counterterrorism squad in Siak Regency, Riau province, on Thursday.
'Ninety-eight escapees remain at large, we will continue to pursue them,' head of Law and Human Rights Ministry North Sumatra office Budi Sulaksana said as quoted by Antara news agency.
A riot broke out at prison after convicts rioted on July 11 protesting the electricity and water stoppages. The 212 inmates escaped after a fire raged out of control at the prison, which at the time housed 2,599 inmates, far exceeding its capacity of 1,054.
The Law and Human Rights Ministry moved 118 suspected key players in the riot to prisons across North Sumatra and Nusakambangan, Central Java. (hrl/dic)
