Inflation to fall in September: Hatta

Coordinating Economic Minister Hatta Rajasa has predicted that the inflation rate will decrease in September.

'€œInflation impact is still looming now due to Idul Fitri. However, I believe inflation will drop in September and October. I even predict deflation,'€ Hatta said on Monday, as quoted by Antara news agency.

'€œThe government will continue its market intervention operation to maintain price stability,'€ he added.

Apart from Idul Fitri, inflation was also driven by the government'€™s subsidized-fuel price hike.
