he Japan Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT) ministry is giving 148 scholarships for five programs, graduate, Japanese language study, teacher trainings, a young leadership program
and an international program.
'I encourage you to study wholeheartedly but do not forget to enjoy Japan,' Japanese ambassador to Indonesia Yoshinori Katori told scholarship recipients in Jakarta onFriday, as quoted by Antara news
agency.
The recipients will fly to Japan by the end of September and attend a Japanese language course first before they start their first semester on April 2014.
'I hope the scholars will make friends with Japanese people as many as possible, besides improving their Japaneselanguage skills, they will then be able to talk more about Indonesia and its beauty,' he said.(apt/dic)
