rgentina Vice President AmdoBoudou will conduct a state visit to Indonesia from November 25 to 29 at the invitation of the RegionalRepresentatives Council (DPD). He is slated to meet the leaderships of the People's ConsultativeAssembly (MPR) and the House of Representative (DPR) as well as his Indonesian counterpartVice President Boediono.
'We hope Mr. Vice President could have him as a guest,' said Indonesian ambassador to Argentina Nurmala Kartini Sjahrir during her visit to the vice president office in Jakarta on Thursday as quoted by Antara news agency.
Boediono said he would welcome the visit and planned to query how South American countries like Argentina viewed Indonesia.
'The partnership with Latin America countries is doing well. They assume Indonesia is a democratic country. As a matter of a fact, the President of Uruguay registered his interest to learn about Indonesian's democracy,' said Kartini. (apt/dic)
