In having enforced limitations on the operations of particular nighttime entertainment spots in accordance with a city bylaw, the Jakarta administration has drawn the ire of karaoke club owners.

The pioneering karaoke-chain owner, dangdut diva, Inul Daratista, was the first to voice her grievances regarding the regulations.

The concept that you need to close certain places to respect people fasting during the holy month is pretty retarded. The whole concept of fasting is to refrain from everything and personal control. This is done so that people can reflect on themselves and feel what individuals less fortunate have to deal with day in and day out.
