he Jakarta Police have revealed the identity of Mr. X,who committed suicide after allegedly killing Holly Angela Ayu, 37, a tenant ofKalibata City apartment in South Jakarta.
But the police remained in the dark over the motive behind the murder.
City police spokesman Sr. Comr. Rikwanto said on Monday that Mr. X, who jumped from Holly's apartment window on the ninth floor, was El Riski Yudhistira, 34, originally from Kotabumi in Lampung.
'On Saturday morning, three people came forward, identifying themselves as El Riski's brother, uncle and sister-in-law. They identified the deceased as their relative and handed over corroborating documents and photos,' he said.
Rikwanto added that after checking their family card, fingerprints and Mr. X's body, the police concluded that he was in fact El Riski Yudhistira.
'According to information from the three, Riski went home to Lampung on Sept. 28, two days before the incident, and then came back to Jakarta,' Rikwanto said, adding that the three did not know what Riski did for work in the city or that he was having a relationship with Holly, whose husband reportedly worked at the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK).
