Car shot at in front of mall

A

n unidentified man shot at a car on Jl. Asia Afrika, Central Jakarta, in front of the Plaza Senayan shopping mall on Thursday evening. No injuries were reported, but the car's rear windshield shattered.

Jakarta Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Rikwanto said the car'€™s owner, Eny, was a civil servant in the Trade Ministry. Her husband is reportedly a prosecutor.

Rikwanto said the police had found two projectiles, each 3 millimeters in diameter. The first one was found around 7 meters from the scene of the incident and the other was found 3 meters away.

'€œOnly one shot hit the glass, the other one missed,'€ said Rikwanto on Friday.

The police suspected that the projectiles were fired from an airsoft gun. The police intend to check
nearby CCTV footage and question security guards.(dic)
