ukitBarisan Military Command spokesman Col. Halilintar said his command supported the police's recent investigation into a murderallegedly carried out by two soldiers in Langkat.
'Wewill give our full support. The TNI [the Indonesian Military] will not toleratelaw violations, especially when it is done by our members,' Halilintarsaid on Friday.
Thepolice recently arrested two soldiers, chief private Pujianto and chiefprivate Saragih on Thursday overthe charges of masterminding the murder of a family of four people inLangkat. Besides these soldiers, the police also apprehended two othercivilians.
Halilintarsaid the two soldiers were now being questioned by the North Sumatra MilitaryPolice division.
'Theywill get what they deserve through the court,' he said.
LangkatPolice chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Yulmar Tri Himawan said the murder was basedon revenge. He said one of the suspects, Alamsyah, held a grudge towardthe family because the latter did not want to pay a Rp 40 million debt. (dic)
