RI pop singer becomes Blueberry owner

Indonesia's popular singer Agnes Monica, or popularly known as Agnez Monica, has now become one of majority shareholders in Blueberry smartphones manufacturer PT Ninetology Indonesia.

Agnes, who was previously the brand ambassador for CSL Blueberry, confirmed over the weekend that she was one of majority shareholders in the smarthphone producer. But Agnes did not mention when she acquired the shares and the percentage of the shares she owns.

Agnes, who was nominated for 2013 World Music Awards for Best Female Artist, said with its huge population, Indonesia is quite attractive market for mobile phones.

'€œThe number of mobile phone users in Indonesia is still small,'€ she was quoted by Kompas.com as saying.

Malaysia-based smart phones manufacturer Ninetology Holdings Sdn. Bhd acquired Blueberry phones manufacturer CSL Mobile Indonesia in August this year. After the acquisition, CSL Mobile Indonesia changed its name into PT Ninetology Indonesia, which then specializes in manufacturing smartphones.

Ninetology had launched their new smartphones products, such as the Phantom Series, to the Indonesian market in early October this year.
