The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) says that exports stood at US$15.72 billion in October, up by 6.87 percent compared to September.
Based on a year-on-year basis, exports in October increased by 2.59 percent.
'Cumulatively, exports from January to October 2013 reached $149.66 billion, which is down by 5.46 percent compared to the same period in 2012,' the BPS said in its official release on Monday.
Meanwhile, imports in October reached $15.67 billion, or up by 1.06 percent, compared to the previous month. Based on a year-on-year basis, imports in October declined by 8.9 percent.
In total, Indonesia imported $156.02 billion of goods from January to October 2013 or down by 1.98 percent based on a year-on-year basis. (hdt)
