he Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confiscatedanother house in its ongoing investigation focusing on former ConstitutionalCourt chief justice Akil Mochtar on Wednesday.

The house is in Karang Duwur village in Kebumen, Central Java. '€œThe house was confiscated today and was registered under the name of Muhtar Ependy,'€ KPK spokesperson Johan Budi told a press conference at the KPK headquarters in Kuningan, South Jakarta, referring to Muhtar, a businessman suspected of acting as a middleman for Akil.

This KPK has seized a long list of assets allegedly linked to Akil under the suspicion that they were purchased using illicit money.

The two cars brought the total of cars confiscated during the KPK'€™s investigation into Akil'€™s money laundering charges to 33 cars, a new record for the number of vehicles seized by the commission.
