7Eleven fast-food outlet on Jl. Budi Kemuliaan, CentralJakarta, resumed operation despite being sealed by the municipality's buildingsupervisory office (P2B), beritajakarta.com reported Monday.
'The building has been sealed for over a week now because it lacks the required license to operate,' Central Jakarta P2B office head Elizabeth Ratu Rante said. The store was opened on Dec. 4.
A seal notice was seen on the outer wall of the store, which is located across from the Budi Kemuliaan Maternity Hospital.
She said the business should apply for the licenses before the administration takes further action.
'It can resume business because the previous owner of the place had the license to run a food stall there,' Ratu said.
The American convenient store-chain obtained a license to operate as a fast food restaurant in Indonesia.
