Police have arrested a college student for selling 24 kilograms of marijuana from Aceh.
Bangkit Sanjaya, 20, a resident of Lorong Pipa, Beliung subdistrict, Kotabaru district, Jambi, was arrested on Monday while delivering 1.5 kg of the marijuana to a customer in Purnama Pal.
He claimed that he was forced to sell marijuana to pay for his studies. 'I just bought the marijuana from a trader named S in December. It was transported from Aceh.'
Bangkit revealed that the 24 kg were packaged in 24 brick-like bars and were then hidden in a bushy area behind 042 military battalion headquarters in Gapu area, Kasang Jaya subdistrict.
