Anas thanks SBY for arrest

he Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) detained formerDemocratic Party chief Anas Urbaningrum after grilling him for hours as a suspectin the Hambalang sports center bribery case on Friday.
In a speech before his detainment, Anas thanked President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono for his arrest.
'I would like to thank Pak SBY. I hope this day will mean something and thus become a New Year's present [for him],' Anas said.
On the same occasion, Anas had also thanked KPK chief Abraham Samad and the KPK investigators handling his case.
Anas was declared a suspect in the case last year. Besides Anas, four others have been named suspects: former youth and sports minister Andi Mallarangeng, Youth and Sports Ministry finance division head Deddy Kusdinar, PT Dutasari Citralaras director Mahfud Suroso and former PT Adhi Karya official Teuku Bagus Muhammad Nur.(dic)
