overnorJoko 'Jokowi' Widodo is scheduled to lead the inauguration of new North Jakarta mayor, Heru Budi Hartono, next week.
Heru, the current Gubernatorial and Foreign Affairs Bureau head, will replace Bambang Sugiono, who has been appointed as assistant to the city secretary for social welfare.
Deputy Governor Basuki 'Ahok' Tjahaja Purnama said that the inauguration would take place on Monday.
'[Heru] will be inaugurated as the North Jakarta mayor on Monday,' he said on Friday.
Ahok, however, did not mention the location of the event.
Jokowi often holds inauguration ceremonies in the respective areas in which new leaders will hold office, instead of at City Hall. Last year, Jokowi inaugurated East Jakarta Mayor HR Krisdianto and East Jakarta Deputy Mayor Husein Murad in a slum in Kampung Pulo Jahe, Jatinegara, Cakung, East Jakarta. On separate occasions, he also inaugurated South Jakarta Mayor Syamsudin Noor in Betawi village Setu Babakan in South Jakarta and West Jakarta Mayor Fatahillah at the Tambora low-cost apartments in West Jakarta.
