ndar Parawansa, the husband of NationalAwakening Party (PKB) politician Khofifah Indar Parawansa, was found dead in a hotelroom in Palu, Central Sulawesi, on Wednesday night.
Indar was found lying on the bed by a hotel staffer who went to his room to inquire about when he intended to check out. According to the staffer, the door was unlocked.
'When I found him, I thought he was sleeping,' said the staffer, who requested anonymity.
Police officers at the scene said it was likely that Indar had had a heart attack. The body was sent to Surabaya, East Java, for burial.
Khofifah, former minister under the Abdurrahman 'Gus Dur' Wahid administration, was one of the contenders in last year's East Java gubernatorial election.(dic)
