t least 20 street vendors were seen at several busstops in Senen, Central Jakarta, on Friday, until Public Order Agency (SatpolPP) personnel came to disperse them.
Senen district head Lola Lovita said that they had reminded the vendors to not park their carts in the designated bus stop area.
'It is clearly prohibited by Bylaw No. 8/2007 on public order for vendors to operator at bus stops. We must be firm, but we take a persuasive approach in dealing with the vendors,' she said as quoted by beritajakarta.com on Friday.
