A rescue team has saved five foreign tourists who were swept away by strong currents while diving in Batubolong waters, West Manggarai regency, East Nusa Tenggara.
Kupang Search and Rescue team spokesman Petronela Amabi said on Tuesday the tourists, two Polish, two Australians and an Italian, were reported missing by their friends on Monday when they failed to surface.
'Twelve tourists left Labuan Bajo Port at about 3 p.m. Five of them were diving and never surfaced. Rescuers found them an hour later,' Amabi said.
He said the tourists were then taken to Labuan Bajo for medical treatment.
