A Transjakarta bus station in Cawang, East Jakarta, was vandalized by a group of drunken students on early Wednesday morning.
Spokesperson for the East Jakarta police, Comr. Sri Bhayangkari, said the group, who were identified as students of the Indonesian Christian University (UKI) in Cawang, vandalized the shelter after a night of singing and drinking at the station itself, then proceeded to rob a passing public minivan.
'While they were intoxicated, they proceeded to stop a passing mikrolet [public minivan] and robbed the passengers of money to buy more drinks,' she said, as quoted by kompas.com. 'When the busway station staff tried to stop them, the students pelted them with stones, bottles and pieces of wood, causing two windows to shatter,' she added.
