Jakarta Police Vehicles Robbery Unit head Comr. Cornelius Masubhara said that many robbers would tell motorists that they had a flat tire to get them to pull over. The robbers would then pretend to help the motorists while attempting to steal any valuable belongs in their car.
Cornelius said that he had deployed four personnel disguised as thugs to guard certain areas prone to such robberies.
'All personnel have been deployed to arrest those using such tactics in the robberies,' he said as quoted by tribunnews.com.
