wo people died instantly and two others were injuredwhen a fishing bomb exploded in a house in the Bugul Kidul housing complex,Pasuruan, East Java, on Wednesday.
East Java Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Awi Setiono said on Thursday that one of the dead people, identified as Sukron, was wanted by the police in connection to a similar blast in Banyuwangi in 2009. The other fatality was Sukron's brother-in-law, Adi Suyitno.
Awi said Sukron's sister, Nurhayati, sustained injuries to her legs while Sukron's wife, Novi, sustained facial injuries and two broken legs.
He said the police found 293 empty projectiles and 28 active ones at the scene. The explosion destroyed four neighboring houses.
