Presiding judge Mustari also ordered the defendant to pay a Rp 477.5 million fine.
The verdict was lighter than the prosecutors' demand of eight years in prison and a fine of Rp 995.1 million.
Thamrin was arrested in a house in South Jakarta on Aug. 7, 2012.
