he Yogyakarta voters' list for the April legislative election is flawed with double registrations as well as with thousands of people registered without citizen ID number, a member of the legislative council says.
Eko Suswanto of the Council's Commission A on administration matters said the Yogyakarta Regional Elections Commission should improve the list two weeks before theApril 9 polling date, Antara reported on Thursday.
'This is a crucial matter that would affect the general elections,' Eko said.
He expressed dismay that the voters' list posted in public places was the November 2013 version when the local commission had updated it in December and again in January.
The Yogyakarta voters list contains more than 2.7 million names, according to the General Election Commission. In 2009, the special territory gave victory to the Democratic Party, followed by PDI-P and Golkar. (put)
