n official with the ForeignMinistry acknowledged that the government still had no answers regarding the fate of 12 Indonesians on board a Malaysia Airlines flight, which disappeared off the radar on Saturday morning while en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, China.
The ministry's director for the protection of Indonesian nationals, Tatang Razak, gave his assurances that he would work flat out to obtain information regarding the 12 passengers.
'We have ongoing communication with our Malaysian, Chinese and Vietnamese counterparts in our efforts to determine what happened,' he said as quoted by kompas.com.
Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 departed from Kuala Lumpur for Beijing eraly on Saturday. It was carrying 227 passengers and 12 crew members. As many as 152 passengers were Chinese, while other reports indicate that the remaining passengers included 38 Malaysians, 12 Indonesians, seven Australians, three Americans, two New Zealanders, two Ukrainians, two Canadians, one Russian, one Italian, one Taiwanese and one Austrian.(dic)
