'He will be detained for the next 20 days,' KPK spokesman Johan Budi said on Friday as quoted by kompas.com.
Tafsir was detained after being grilled for hours at KPK headquarters. Tafsir has not yet commented on his arrest.
Tafsir was first named a suspect in June last year, when KPK investigators gathered evidence that pointed to his involvement in the procurement, which cost Rp 21 billion of state budget funds. (dic)
