Police officer shot dead after quarrel with subordinate

Jakarta Police officer by the name of Adj. Sr. Comr. Pamudji was shotdead during night shift at the Jakarta Police headquarters on Tuesday following a heated quarrel with hissubordinate Brig. Susanto.

Jakarta Police chief Insp. Gen. Dwi Priyatno said Brig. Susanto had been detained by internal affairs for further questioning. Besides Susanto, four other witnesses were also questioned in relation to the shooting, tempo.co reported on Wednesday.

One of the witnesses, Adj. First Insp. Dede Mulyani, said Pamudji and Susanto were involved in a heated debate minutes before he heard shots.

Upon hearing the shootings, Dede headed to the relevant post and found Pamudji'€™s body covered in blood. (put/dic)
