Singer Glenn Fredly says his upcoming concert, 'Sabda Rindu', at the Taman Ismail Marzuki (TIM) arts center in Cikini, Central Jakarta, will be a nostalgic show for him.
He said he had special memories of the venue, which led him to decline an offer to use TIM's new auditorium. 'I once took part in a note-reading contest at TIM and I want to recall that time by performing here now,' he said as quoted by Antara news agency.
He said he envisaged a theatrical concept for the concert to allow him to perform closer to the audience.
Glenn said the show, scheduled for March 26, would be different from his last concert at the Gedung Kesenian Jakarta in September.
'I will be performing with a full orchestra and the show will also feature a theatrical performance combining music and literature,' he said.
