Jambi Police chief Brig. Gen. Satriya Hari Prasetya has said police officers should not get involved in politics.
'I have instructed them to maintain neutrality during the upcoming elections and be ready to safeguard them as well,' he said on Saturday.
Earlier, National Police chief Gen. Sutarman also warned personnel to maintain neutrality. The former chief detective had also vowed that the police would be firm in tackling crimes related to the elections.(dic)
