Golkar Party chairman and presidential hopeful Aburizal Bakrie has recently been the subject of ridicule on social media after footage of his overseas jaunt with celebrity sisters and a teddy bear went viral.
Footage on YouTube lasting three and a half minutes, along with several pictures, features Aburizal, outspoken and controversial Golkar lawmaker Aziz Syamsuddin, as well as celebrity sisters Marcella Zalianty and Olivia Zalianty, on a private jet heading to the Maldives.
In the footage, a teddy bear is cuddled alternately by Marcella and Olivia, and in another, by Aburizal, who looks intimate with the fluffy brown toy. The footage revealed that Aburizal was not accompanied by his wife Tatty Murnitriati on the trip.
Your comments:
I think this is to be continued with another sequel, hotter and more vulgar. So stay tuned.

Aburizal must be overconfident to spend so much money on running for president.
I don't see anybody taking his side here. I guess he is gambling big and it's too late to turn back.

Don't think negative people, it's just a father-daughter relationship?

Is there anyone in Indonesia that actually believes him? His electability keeps going down the drain and now even Golkar is debating removing him as its candidate. Being undesirable for that party takes a lot.

There is a lot of 'natural' beauty in Indonesia, but let's face it, every attempt to exploit it is doomed by the god-awful people who live here.

What a good example he sets. He was on a research mission but did not mention the outcome.
I see a good future for tourism in the Maldives if he gets elected.
I wish he admitted to being on vacation, then I could respect him.

Bakrie has a point considering the number of paradise islands we have in Indonesia.
Why can't we build Maldives-inspired resorts and retreats in Indonesia that can compete with an international standard?

I will never favor Aburizal as a leader but come on people. A teddy bear is just a cheap shot.
If you want to attack the guy, attack his poor leadership, irresponsible mud crisis and so on.

A Maldives-style resort island is a possibility, but it needs to be controlled by the people that live there, and they need to be able to look at the long term instead of caving in to the unhinged greed on display by project developers and dodgy politicians.
Otherwise we'll just end up with Bali version 2.0.
