West Java Police chief Insp. Gen. Mohammad Iriawan has revealed that the police arrested a woman identified as DS, who allegedly abducted a baby at Hasan Sadikin General Hospital in Bandung.
Iriawan said that the suspect had attempted to commit suicide during the police hunt. He said DS had tried to jump off an overpass but the police stopped her. DS has been detained for further questioning.
'We need to know whether she works alone or for a human trafficking syndicate,' he said on Saturday as quoted by kompas.com.
The baby, who was abducted four days ago, has been returned to her parents.(dic)
