South Sumatra still waiting on thousands of ballots

T

he South Sumatra province is still waiting for 14,021 ballots, the local General Elections Commission (KPUD) branch says.

'€œWe have requested additional ballots,'€ South Sumatra KPUD member Henny Susantih said on Thursday.

Henny said that there were 5,764,278 registered eligible voters and 27,228 extra eligible voters.

Henny added that additional ballots were requested because large quantities of ballots were misprinted.

Meanwhile, the South Sumatra Elections Monitoring Agency (Bawaslu) could not provide an update on the exact number violations that had been committed by election participants during the ongoing campaign period.
