Thingyan or the Water Festival is a traditional celebration in Myanmar to welcome the New Year in April.
The celebration is traditionally expressed by splashing water onto friends and family members to wash away the sins of the previous year and bring good fortune.
With free admission to all activities, Macau residents from Myanmar as well as locals and tourists are looking forward to the festival.
Macau Myanmar Overseas Chinese Association has collaborated with the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau to organize this annual festival. To find out more about this event, visit http://en.macautourism.gov.mo.
