Sitting on a Garuda Indonesia flight from Sulawesi to Bali, I happened to read your article and started to laugh. Well, that´s nothing outstanding as your lines were really funny.
But when my laughter became louder and louder and as I choked hard to gasp at least a little bit of air, my fellow passengers turned around in wonder. Two minutes later I was crying in laughter, with tears running down my cheeks, almost unable to breathe any more.
So the flight attendant approached me. Her eyes showed deep worry and serious concern. 'Shall I see if there´s a doctor on board?' she helplessly asked. My face must have turned deep red by that time.
I survived the flight. But not without passing the article around to other passengers who had become curious. The effect on them was staggering. I had never been (and probably never shall be) on a plane with so many people in high spirits. Thanks to you, Mr. Vittachi.
